Tuesday, 31st May, 2022

MBABANE:Deputy Prime Minister (DPM)  Senator Themba Masuku says exposing children to violence leads to a troubled generation.

Speaking during the launch of the children's month under the theme 'Eliminating All Forms of Violence Against Children in Eswatini' on Tuesday, the DPM emphasised that violence against children was harmful.

“Violence robs children of the opportunity to be educated and to participate in national development issues.Violence deprives children the opportunity to grow into their imaginative and innovative dreams.Above all, violence creates an angry and troubled generation full of rage."said the DPM as quoted by Government online platforms.

The global theme for this year's Children's month is ‘Eliminating Harmful Practices Affecting Children:Progress on Policy and Practice since 2013’
