MBABANE:Lucky Lukhele, the Spokesperson of the Swaziland Solidarity Network(SSN) has on behalf of the political organization mourned the death of freedom fighter Amos Mbhedzi.
Speaking to this Swaziland News,Lukhele said Mbhedzi was a founding member of the Swaziland Solidarity Network(SSN), an international solidarity wing of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO).
“A big tree has fallen, a simple unmatched internationalist.He understood solidarity at the deepest level that a normal human being may understand.We are forever grateful for his contribution, he paid the ultimate price for the people of Swaziland because, clearly, he was killed by the regime,”said the Solidarity Network Spokesperson.
Superintendent Gugulethu Dlamini, the Spokesperson of the Eswatini Correctional Services had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
Amos Mbhedzi was arrested for attempting to bomb the Lozitha bridge together with the late PUDEMO member lawyer Musa MJ Dlamini and Jack Govender.
It is alleged that the three had received intelligence information that King Mswati would pass through the bridge from Lozitha Palace to Ludzidzini.
