MBABANE:Stuky Motsa, the Director of Stuky Foundation says people with albinism including children live in fear of being killed for ritual purposes.
When interviewed by the State owned radio station on Monday as part of the International Albinism Day, Motsa said apart from living in fear of being killed, children were struggling to complete school due to the non-availability of resources to maintain their condition.
“When a child with albinism is born, he or she lives in fear of being killed for ritual purposes. Apart from that, the child will struggle to complete school due to the non-availability of resources to maintain the albinism condition,” she said.
Motsa said even if the child can finish school and go as far as the University, he or she might struggle to secure employment due to discrimination.
