LOMAHASHA: Live rounds of ammunition have been found at the scene where King Mswati's royal police(Bafana beMbube)allegedly shot Ayanda Matimba on Tuesday morning, the Nkalashane high school student is missing.
Reached for comments, Siboniso Mkhabela, an influential Lomahasha resident said at first, the police arrived at Ayanda Matimba's home and allegedly shot at him four(4) times but missed.
“When the police arrived, the student tried to run away and they fired shots four(4) times, he then surrendered and was immediately abducted. I accompanied the students to the Police Station this afternoon(Tuesday) and the police refused to tell us where they have kept him. We are not sure what will happen today at Lomahasha if the student is not released,” he said.
Police Spokesperson Phindile Vilakati had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
Mswati’s police have intensified a crackdown on pro-democracy activists including children merely for demanding democratic reforms.
