SIMUNYE:Five(5)members of the Swaziland Youth Congress ( SWAYOCO) and the People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) Lubombo Regional Treasurer Tanele Mashwama were, on Wednesday morning, abducted and detained by King Mswati’s police.
These are the very same PUDEMO members who supported their International Relations Officer Siboniso Mkhabela, they accompanied him to the Lubombo Police Regional Headquarters to demand clothes including cellphones that we allegedly grabbed by the police during a roadblock.
Phindile Vilakati, the eSwatini Police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
Speaking to this Swaziland News,Sakhile Awuviva Nxumalo, the SWAYOCO President confirmed the matter adding that the police were still raiding homes searching for other political activists.
“That's on point,Makhosetive is on toes, he feels the pressure, ours is to up the scale and continue with organising our people to fight this regime tooth for tooth. Six of our comrades are under serious interrogation at Simunye Police Station since the early hours of this day”,said the SWAYOCO President.
