MBABANE:King Mswati’s police raided the home of Wandile Dludlu, the Secretary General of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) in search for firearms.
The police were armed with a search warrant and they proceeded to invade the home of the Swaziland Massacre Victims Association (SWAVISA)Chairperson Madzabudzabu Kunene.
Police Spokesperson Phindile Vilakati had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
In a brief statement sent to this Swaziland News, Dludlu confirmed the raiding by the police.
“They turned everything upside down and got nothing obviously. They have just left driving in 3 Police vehicles back to their offices,” he said.
The raiding and harassment of pro-democracy activists by Mswati’s police intensified amid the calls for democratic reforms in eSwatini.
