MBABANE:Melusi Masuku, the Principal Secretary in the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office has announced that the payment of elderly and disability grants would start on Thursday next week.
“The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office would like to inform social grants recipients that the disbursement of grants(elderly and disability grants) will commence on 30 June 2022,” reads a statement in part released by the Principal Secretary.
According to the statement, the payment of grants in the Hhohho region will commence from 30th June to the 1st July 2022 followed by the Shiselweni region from the 7th to the 11th July 2022. The Manzini region will start receiving their grants from the 14th to the 15th July 2022 while recipients from the Lubombo region will start receiving theirs from the 21st to the 25th July 2022.
“The office would once again like to warn the elderly and the public to be vigilant and to be on the lookout for scammers who may attempt to rob them through false pretences,” reads the statement released by the PS in the DPM’s office.
