LETFU SONKHE CHAIRPERSON:Stealing of State resources by authorities contributed to poverty.

MBABANE: Mandla Hlatjwako, the Chairperson of the Letfu Sonkhe Institute for Strategic Thinking and Development says the ongoing stealing of State resources allegedly, by the country’s authorities contributed to the high level of poverty in the country. 

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Tuesday, the Letfu Sonkhe Chairperson said the use of Inyatsi Group of Companies to divert national resources contributed to the breakdown of service delivery.

“The stealing of so much state resources through the national budget, as well as the stealing of Tibiyo and the use of companies such as Inyatsi to divert national resources have all contributed in the breakdown of service delivery. We are poor as a country because we have been too quiet and we have allowed those in power to take us for granted,” he said.

A questionnaire was sent to Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo, however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Inyatsi Construction recently denied that it was linked to royalty, the company was attacked three(3) times allegedly, by members of the pro-democracy Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF).

Eswatini is a tiny Kingdom situated in Southern Africa with about 70% of the population living below the poverty line, political parties are banned from participating in elections.

The country is ruled by billionaire King Mswati as an absolute Monarch with Executive, Judiciary and Legislative powers.
