NSUBANE: Members of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF) invaded Nsubane Farm on Wednesday evening, shot and killed a politically connected Ranger.

This comes after the alleged owner of the farm with alleged links to King Mswati allegedly grabbed land from residents.

The Rangers allegedly shot and killed Sibusiso Gina on or around April 2022 during a protest by residents over alleged land grabbing, triggering tension within the area.

Reached for comments, a senior member of the Solidarity Forces Executive Command confirmed the shooting of the Ranger on Wednesday evening.

“It’s true that the Ranger was shot and killed, a gun with bullets was grabbed from him.We want to make it clear that this will continue until the incarcerated Members of Parliament(MPs) are released and those in exile return to their respective homes. Sekutawuphilwa kanjena kulelive kuze kuphume bahlonishwa, nabobonkhe lababoshelwe i-politiki, nalabo labaku-exile babuye emakhaya,” said a senior member of the Solidarity Forces Executive Command.

It has been disclosed that after the shooting, the members of the Solidarity Forces immediately skipped the Farm to a safe place.

Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Eswatini is in the midst of a political unrest after King Mswati unleashed soldiers and the police to shoot and kill dozens of civilians merely for demanding democratic reforms.
