MBABANE: Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini has disclosed that alleged Inyatsi Group of Companies linked agents are parading a R 2million bribe, trying to silence him.
The editor said he kept records of two powerful individuals with alleged links to Inyatsi Director Michello Shakantu who approached him separately with an intention to bribe him.
“Since the Anti-Corruption Commission(ACC) is eSwatini is ‘defunct’ and reports to Shakantu’s wife Pholile Shakantu as the Minister of Justice,I am waiting for the Eswatini Government to approach the South African courts again so I can present the evidence. The evidence will have more strength if presented in court and the international media and law enforcement agencies can get it from there,” said the editor.
Inyatsi Director Michello Shakantu avoided calls and or questions from this publication.
Dlamini said he sent a message to the Inyatsi Director warning him that the attempted bribery will be dealt with in accordance with the law. The editor warned other high profile people linked to eSwatini and Inyatsi not to even dare attempt to contact him with an intention to parade a bribe.
“High profile people must not agree to be agents of Michello Shakantu by contacting me on his behalf, bribery is a criminal offence. Our country is priceless, we want our country from Mswati and Shakantu's corrupt syndicate not R2 million,” said the editor.
