BRITAIN: Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane, the President of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO)met with British Member of Parliament(MP) David Blunkett on Tuesday.
This was during a Leaders Council-Networking Meeting held at the Belgrade Square Caledonian Club, Halkin Street in London.
Speaking to this Swaziland News after the meeting, the SWALIMO President said it was a great pleasure to meet the MP who promised to be an advocate of the Swazi struggle in influential structures.
“He condemned in strongest terms what the regime is doing and also committed himself to take our pain to all platforms where he sits and influences,” said the SWALIMO President.
Simelane who was leading calls for democratic reforms inside Parliament together with incarcerated MPs Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube was removed as an MP by Mswati’s government after being labelled an alleged terrorist through politically motivated charges.
The SWALIMO President is in the United Kingdom(UK) to lobby for support of the Swazi struggle.
