HHELEHHELE: Mbabane Dlamini, a resident of Hhelehhele in the Hohho region was on Saturday last week, allegedly shot by Mswati’s soldiers merely for walking next to Lufafa Gold Mine.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Tuesday, Kenneth Dlamini, a brother to the victim said Dlamini was walking a few metres from the Mine as a resident of the area, only to be shot by a soldier.
“He was shot by a soldier merely for walking next to the Mine and is now admitted here at Pigg’s Peak hospital”,said the relative of victim.
Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo, the Army Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
Reached for comments,human rights lawyer Thulani Maseko said eSwatini authorities did not respect human life.
“In this country, profits are important than human lives, this thing must stop,”said the human rights lawyer.
Mbabane Dlamini was shot by Mswati’s soldiers.
