LOBAMBA: Marwick Khumalo, the Lobamba Lomdzala Member of Parliament(MPs) says police officers are being killed for their involvement in matters of political nature.
Speaking in Parliament on Monday, during the delivery of a report and a debate of issues under the Prime Minister’s Office Portfolio Committee, the seasoned MP said politicians ignored their responsibilities and resorted to using police officers to fight political battles.
He said the police officers joined the law enforcement agency with an intention to serve the country as officers of the law only to be manipulated and used on political issues.
“Political questions cannot be answered with a security solution,No.These are political issues, we cannot use security officers as a cover-up, what do we expect to happen?. Cry thereafter? They didn’t join politics but they chose to serve the country as law enforcement officers,” said the Lobamba Lomdzala MP.
