Swazis living abroad pays R15,000.00 tuition for needy aspiring nurse who appeared on Swaziland News.

NKWENE:Swazis based in Italy and the United States of America (USA) have  raised fifteen thousand,five hundred Rands (E15,500.00) in tuition fees for aspiring nurse Sebenele Lukhele. 

This comes after this Swaziland News published a story revealing how she was turned down by Deputy Prime Minister (DPM)Themba Masuku when she approached him for financial assistance towards her Certificate in Nursing Assistant course at Good Shepherd Nursing College.

When speaking to this publication, Lukhele said she has already paid her first year's fees in full.

"I have already paid for my first year tuition, thank you so much to the people who found it in their heart to help me .May the Lord bless them  abundantly and I promise not to dissapoint them, and thank  you to Swaziland News for publishing my plight.Lastly, I have already received a uniform from a former student of the college,”she said.

Reached for comments, one of the Swazis from the USA said they were grateful to be able to help the aspiring nurse after they were touched by her story.

“We are very grateful to be able to help, we were touched by Sebenele’s story and her effort to try and raise her own money to upgrade her studies,”she said.

Two female Swazi cousins based at the USA jointly made a contribution a of R 8000.00 while a Swazi male based in Italy contributed R7500.00 .
