NYANYALI: Two police officers within the Operational Support Services Unit(OSSU) allegedly died after being involved in a fatal accident on Saturday at Nyanyali along the Manzini-Nhlangano road.
The officers were allegedly rushing to an operation to terrorize members of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) Youth League, the Swaziland Youth Congress(SWAYOCO) in the midst of a political unrest in this tiny Kingdom of eSwatini.
Siboniso Mkhabela, the International Relations Officer of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) confirmed being an eye witness adding that he saw two bodies covered.
“Two bodies are already covered with plastic bags, they were rushing to terrorize SWAYOCO members in Nhlangano after receiving information that we are hosting a SWAYOCO Day. After the accident, as I was passing-by, one of the officers saw me and hurled insults,” said the PUDEMO influential member.
Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson has not responded at the time of compiling this report.
It has been disclosed that the police received an order to rush to Nhlangano to shoot and kill members of the PUDEMO Youth League, dozens have been killed by Mswati’s police and soldiers since the political unrest started.
An OSSU vehicle was involved in an accident.
