MBABANE:Sicelo Mngomezulu, the lawyer representing incarcerated pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube, said he was aware that State security agents were pursuing him.
Addressing the media on Thursday at the Hilton Hotel, the attorney who is allegedly under surveillance for representing the MPs said he was aware of the threats against his life but clarified that as a South African citizen, he would expect his government to step-in and intervene if anything happened to him.
But the lawyer further made it clear that if anyone was to take him out (kill him), he would not die alone.
"If anyone was to take me out, I can promise you, I will not die alone.Measures have been put in place to ensure that if I am taken out, I don’t die alone, that I can guarantee you. So I don’t fear for my life,"said the lawyer.
Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson, had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
On Wednesday, the lawyer, after addressing supporters of the incarcerated pro-democracy MPs at Msunduza, went on to donate four thousand Rands (R4000.00) and groceries to a toddler who survived a teargas fired by Mswati’s police.
