HOSEA: Sicelo Mngomezulu, the lawyer representing pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube has pledged a cow to be slaughtered for girls who will boycott King Mswati’s Umhlanga Reed Dance ceremony.
Speaking on Saturday during an event organized by Hosea residents in honor of their incarcerated MP Bacede Mabuza, the lawyer said young girls who will decide to boycott the Reed Dance must wear their traditional regalia and attend their own event to be held during the Umhlanga holiday.
“We will slaughter a cow to be enjoyed by girls who will boycott Umhlanga ceremony on the very same holiday here at Hosea Sports Ground,”said the lawyer.
MPs Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube were arrested by King Mswati’s police merely for demanding democratic reforms inside Parliament.
