MBABANE: Collen Matsebula, a United Kingdom(UK) based Swazi political activist has pledged to build a house for the Nkwene disabled family.

This comes after this Swaziland News published a story exposing how the family was neglected by Mswati’s Government, Nkwene Member of Parliament(MP) Vulimpompi Nhleko allegedly visited the family and donated ten Rands(R10.00), an amount that can only buy half a loaf of bread in eSwatini.

Speaking to this publication, political activist Collen Matsebula who supported various humanitarian political projects said she was touched by the plight of the disabled family.

“I will buy the whole building material for a two-room house, others can donate free construction services,” said the political activist when speaking to Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini on Thursday.

Aspiring MPs in eSwatini normally use poverty and promise a better life to the over 700 000 citizens living in poverty only to dump them and side with Mswati once they are elected into a political office.

Few MPs who raise a voice against the current political system and demand justice for the poor are persecuted, MP Marwick Khumalo was recently persecuted by Mswati after calling for political solutions to resolve current political crisis.

MP Vulimpompi Nhleko who donated ten Rands(R10.00)said he was in a meeting when questioned why he neglected and failed to at least mobilize support for disabled family.
