LOBAMBA: King Mswati says the Southern African Development Community(SADC) will assist eSwatini in its efforts to restore peace and stability.
Addressing journalists on Tuesday shortly after his return from the SADC Summit, the King said Swazis were known for peace and respect adding that he hoped the regional body would assist the country in its efforts of restoring peace and stability.
“SADC resolved to intervene in finding solutions to resolve the political crisis. We believe the regional body will assist us restore peace and stability in the country. Eswatini will retain its identity as a peaceful country, Swazis are known for peace and respect,” said the King.
The King returned on Tuesday after the SADC Summit in the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC), he visited Indonesia and Tunisia where he attended a business conference and the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development Conference(TICAD) respectively.
