MBABANE: The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare is tracing the whereabouts of family members and colleagues of a doctor who recently tested positive to coronavirus, Minister Lizzie Nkosi revealed during a press conference on Wednesday.
According to an investigation conducted by this Swaziland News, the doctor was working at Mbabane Clinic where a suspected coronavirus patient allegedly died after she was neglected by nurses.
“The Ministry has today received 2 additional cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 12. Case number 11, is a man of 44 years old from the Hhohho region, a medical practitioner who tested positive, but we are yet to confirm the source of transmission” said the Minister when addressing journalists during a press conference on Wednesday.
The Minister then said as the Ministry, they were actively tracing relatives and colleagues who might have been in contact with the confirmed case.
Recently, the Minister revealed that government was monitoring over 2000 suspected cases from their homes who entered the country from South Africa after the announcement of the lockdown.
