LUDZIDZINI: “I can see the Throne is shaking and we will not survive for too long from now, please remember me ningangilahli”.
These were the emotional sentiments of King Mswati’s son Prince Majaha when enjoying alcohol with some soldiers at Ludzidzini Palace during the recently held Umhlanga Reed Dance Ceremony.
Information in our possession suggests that the Prince hosted a party at Ludzidzini(eLawini) a few days before the recent Umhlanga ceremony, the party was attended by members of the regiments particularly security officers.
“The situation in the country suggests that the Throne is shaking, kodvwa-ke kwamele sibambane singalahlani madoda, ningangilahli sichubeke sibe munye,” said the Prince.
The soldier who shared the information said they were surprised to see the Prince crying and asking them not to forsake him.
“These people have been enjoying money while we suffered. Here a child becomes a millionaire shortly after birth. Even a one year-old Prince or Princess is paid a travel allowance by Government when traveling with their parents being the King and Inkhosikati,” said the soldier.
A questionnaire was sent to Prince Majaha, where he was asked to clarify his sentiments during the party, however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
Reached for comments, Sibongile Mazibuko, the Chairperson of the Political Parties Assembly(PPA) advised Prince Majaha not to cry but persuade his father to participate in a political dialogue.
“Prince Majaha must stop crying but advise his father to participate in a political dialogue.Majaha must lobby his brothers to approach the King and discuss the future of the country, as they delay to do that, Swazis are becoming more angry and we don’t know what those who are angry are planning,” said the PPA Chairperson.
