LOZITHA: King Mswati received  R 1million as a gift from his Eswatini Royal Insurance Cooperation(ESRIC) to host the King’s Golf Cup.

The donation was made to the King this week at Lozitha Palace, other companies like the Eswatini Electricity Company(EEC) donated as well.

On another note,eSwatini’s health system is struggling after the Government failed to provide drugs in hospitals, other equipment was donated by other countries and international organizations.

Reached for comments, Sibongile Mazibuko, the Chairperson of the Political Parties Assembly(PPA) said it was very unfortunate that even companies continued to channel funds to one man.

“These companies with the ‘Royal’ tag are owned by the King and they will continue pumping money to the Monarch. This country is in a crisis, even students are struggling with scholarships, some were expelled from Botswana Universities, such monies could have helped,” said the PPA Chairperson.

On another note, the King thanked the sponsors for supporting the Golf Cup.
