MBABANE: King Mswati’s son Prince Bandzile and his wife travelled to Dubai on Saturday for alleged shopping with public funds.
The Prince arrived at OR Tambo International Airport around 3pm on Saturday and went straight to have lunch at Dinners in the transit zone within the airport.
The King’s son then connected with flight number EK764 that was supposed to leave OR Tambo Airport at 8pm, however the flight developed technical faults and subsequently left at around 11pm.
Insiders alleged that the Prince travelled to Dubai for alleged shopping with his new wife.
Efforts to reach Prince Bandzile proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
A questionnaire was then sent to Percy Simelane, the King’s Office Spokesperson who clarified that Prince Bandzile was working in the eSwatini Embassy in Dubai.
“I am not so sure about the alleged family shopping spree but confident he still works in our Embassy in Dubai.I doubt if he would come to Eswatini to plan a shopping spree in Dubai where he stays,” says the King’s Office Spokesperson.
