MBABANE: Ngomyayona Gamedze, the Acting Sive Siyinqaba Chairman has described the ascension of Mswati to the Throne as the worse thing that ever happened to the country.
Reacting to an electronic evidence where King Mswati’s Governor Themba Ginindza revealed that royalty was training a squad to burn political activists and their properties, the former Senate Deputy President said it was unheard-off for a King to have enemies among the people he claimed to lead.
Ludzidzini Governor Themba Ginindza was exposed after he disclosed in a private cellphone conversation that as royalty, they were training a squad to burn political activists and their properties.
“We are also training our squad to burn them and their properties as well. Oh! they have burnt, if you know SWALIMO members in your area, just burn their properties as well. Akushiswane-ke sitobona kutsi ngubani longeke akhaliswe ngumlilo,” said the Governor.
But Ngomyayona Gamedze, the Sive Siyinqaba Acting Chairman said the King, as a leader was expected to provide solutions to the conflict instead of perpetuating and promoting violence among the people.
“Yati sahloleleka ngalomuntfu lona mani. How can a King have enemies among the people he claims to lead and go as far as plotting to kill them. The duty of a leader is to provide a solution to a conflict not to perpetuate it,” he said.
The former Senate Deputy President said the political conflict started after the people asked the King to step aside and stop leading them, only for him to respond with violence and killings.
