MATSAPHA: Lawyer Veli Ginindza has proposed to meet Swaziland Youth Congress(SWAYOCO) Sakhile Awuviva Nxumalo to discuss possible ways of resolving issues of employees who are allegedly owed their gratuity by Far-East Textile in Matsapha.

Ginindza was engaged by Far East to facilitate peaceful means with the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) Youth League President who had threatened to organize a protest within the company premises in demand for payment of the monies owed to the employees.

This comes after this Swaziland News published a story exposing how the company was owing gratuity to constructively dismissed employees.

“We  received a call from the SWAYOCO President who demanded answers as to why the employees were not paid their gratuity. On behalf of my client,we are willing to engage the President and produce documentation. The money is available but only one employee is eligible for gratuity, the others did not come back to claim their outstanding salaries,” said the lawyer.

Reached for comments, SWAYOCO President Sakhile Nxumalo confirmed the engagement with the lawyer.

“We are engaging the lawyer representing Far East to find peaceful means of resolving the matter. The lawyer called me and I will send a delegation to the company to engage him so that the employees could be paid,” said the SWAYOCO President.
