MBABANE: Senator Mancoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade has announced a new foreign investor, Lush Hair group.
According to Government online platforms, Lush Hair is one of the companies that showed interest in setting up shop in Eswatini during an Eswatini-Singapore business seminar led by King Mswati III in June 2022.
It has been reported that the hair extensions manufacturing company that also operates in Nigeria and Kenya, is launching within the Southern African Development Community(SADC) and would implement its R262 million investment in phases over a period of five years.
“Further to our drive for decentralisation, this manufacturing plant will be established at the Ngwenya Industrial Estate. This is a significant milestone for the growth of our economy and the creation of jobs on a scale that will reduce current levels of unemployment.The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade will continue to embark on ambitious investment drives to ensure that this becomes an era of investment, growth, job creation and meaningful economic transformation,” said the Minister as quoted by Government online platforms.
