MBABANE: King Mswati’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane came hard on the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) for linking the King in the recent bombing of PUDEMO President Mlungisi Makhanya’s home.
PUDEMO stands for the People’s United Democratic Movement, a political organization fighting for democratic reforms in the Kingdom eSwatini.
The EFF, through its Spokesperson Sinawe Thambo released a statement on Wednesday calling for decisive action to be taken against King Mswati after the bombing of PUDEMO President Mlungisi Makhanya’s home.
Responding to a questionnaire from this Swaziland News on Wednesday, the King’s Spokesperson described the accusations as unintelligible.
“We have no reasons to think the EFF is talking about the King we know and have lived with. We find the accusation as unintelligible as the claim that he murdered a Gardee woman in a forest in Mpumalanga.That accusation too came from a political figure in South Africa. We have an unavoidable duty therefore to ask ourselves why politicians in that country have become cheap audiences for malicious communication and slander campaigns against the King. The local intelligence has so far no booked suspect. Interestingly the EFF which is no Police Party already has a suspect? This won't make sense to any normal thinking person on the street anywhere in the world”,said the King’s Spokesperson.
The home of PUDEMO President Mlungisi Makhanya was bombed allegedly by State agents, explosives were found within the premises.
