NEW YORK:King Mswati has once again appealed to the United Nations(UN)to accept or recognize the Republic of China on Taiwan as it’s member.
Addressing the UN General Assembly on Wednesday night, the King said the global community can benefit from Taiwan's participation in the UN.
"We continue to appeal for Taiwan to be considered for full participation in the UN agencies.We are confident that the global village would benefit substantially from Taiwan's meaningful participation in the UN system,” said the King.
Eswatini is the only country with diplomatic relations with the Republic of China on Taiwan, a Chinese province that is not recognized by the UN as a country.
