MATSAPHA: Thulani Rudolf Maseko, a highly regarded human rights lawyer in eSwatini has confirmed that Matsapha prison authorities denied him permission to see assaulted pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube.
“I am from Matsapha Prison now, they denied me permission to see the assaulted MPs,” said the human rights lawyer on Thursday.
Superintendent Gugulethu Dlamini, the Correctional Services Spokesperson declined to comment.
Pro-democracy MPs Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube were allegedly assaulted by warders in the early hours on Thursday morning, the MPs were arrested after King Mswati issued an order that they must be charged with terrorism.
