MANZINI: Mrs Hazel Dube, the wife to incarcerated pro-democracy Member or Parliament(MP) received ten thousand Rands(R10,000.00) on Tuesday from the Swaziland Rural Women Assembly(SRWA).
The donation forms part of the fifty thousand Rands(R50,000.00) donation announced by this Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini last week.
Speaking at the Rural Women Assembly offices when presenting the donation, Cebile Dlamini, the Secretary General of the Swaziland Rural Women Assembly said they were presenting the gift that was announced by the editor.
“We are here to present the gift that was announced by the editor and we are happy to see Mrs Dube. As women we have interacted and strengthened her in these difficult times,” said the Rural Women Assembly Secretary General.
This is not the first time the Rural Women Assembly visited Mrs Dube and other women who are victims of injustice.
The organization normally visits and supports women in the rural areas.
Mrs Hazel Dube thanked the Rural Women Assembly for supporting her during these difficult times.
“I would like to thank the Rural Women Assembly and Babe Dlamini for such support. The support I am receiving from other women is appreciated because sometimes you need other women who will give you words of comfort after what befell our husbands,” she said.
