WINDHOEK:Mswati’s private jet landed in Namibia on Saturday for re-fueling, the King did not come out of the plane.
The King’s private jet arrived at about 4pm and left around 6pm, a Namibian Minister in the Presidency who was there to meet him left without seeing him.
“The King did stop over in Windhoek. The Namibian Minister in the Presidency was there to welcome him. Only the King's aides with what seemed like toiletry bags came out of the plane. After a long wait, the Minister was told that the King was sleeping and can't be woken up. So those that came to meet him went back without having seen him,” said a source.
Reached for comments Percy Simelane, the King’s Spokesperson said he was not aware that the King landed in Namibia.
“I am not aware,” said the King’s Spokesperson.

Speaking to this Swaziland News, human rights lawyer Thulani Maseko, the Chairperson of the MultiStakeholder Forum(MSF) said the King was afraid and not sure about his future.
“Why did he land in Namibia without even coming out? If it wasn’t for the political problems he created here, he would have been free to land in any country, particularly South Africa. We have been calling for a political dialogue so that even the King can be free but instead of subjecting himself to the dialogue process, he is postponing the problem,” said the MSF Chairperson.
MSF is a collaboration of pro-democracy groups advocating for democratic reforms in eSwatini.
