MBABANE: Senator Mancoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade has, in collaboration with the e-Government Unit, launched an electronic queueing system for company registrations and renewals.
Speaking during official launch of the system held at the Registrar of Companies offices on Monday morning, the Minister said the project was part of government efforts to improve service delivery in the country.
“It will greatly reduce the long queues that we usually see at the Ministry and comes with a ticketing system that will ensure clients are serviced fairly and without favour, thereby eliminating corruption.I urge the Nation to report misuse of the system by our officers. As a Ministry, we are on a path of improving company registrations and renewals, and we will introduce something similar at the licensing department as well. We are looking at having a fully digital service, working in collaboration with the New Zealand Government,” said the Commerce Minister as quoted by Government online platforms
On another note Slomoes Director Lucky Slomo Dlamini said it was about time Government becomes digital.
“We are happy to be part of those that are digitising Government under its pillar of e-governance. It is a good thing for Government to be paperless and it is something we have always longed to see happening in our country. We believe this is the beginning of greater things to come,” said the Slomoes Director as quoted by Government online platforms.
