It is now clear that King Mswati is hell bent to destroy our cultural and traditional values.

On Wednesday, he will be ‘blessing’ Chiefs, more than half of whom were appointed through corruption.

The Swazi Law and Custom is very clear on how Chiefs are appointed but Mswati and his agents that include highly corrupt Ludzidzini Council member Ncumbi Maziya have been invading Imiphakatsi appointing Chiefs of their choice.

It should be noted that some of these Chiefs who will be ‘blessed’ today(Wednesday) do not even qualify in terms of Swazi Law and Custom but because their factions were able to bribe Mswati, Indlovukazi and some members of the Ludzidzini Council, they managed to get appointed.

Culturally, King Mswati or Indlovukazi do not have powers to appoint Chiefs, they only bless candidates presented by Lusendvo(Traditional Councils) from the various Chiefdoms.

But now, things have changed, Mswati appoints and goes on to bless Chiefs, these are the results of a greedy King who legitimatized corruption by calling a bribe “tetfulo”.
