Street Vendors to host Informal Cross Border Trade Women Forum, invite Revenue Service.

MANZINI: Mathokoza Sikhondze, the Coordinator of the Coalition of Informal Economy Associations (CIEAS) says they will be hosting Informal Cross Border Trade Women Forums for 280 women next week under the theme “From Inequality And Vulnerability To Prosperity For All".

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Thursday, the Coordinator said the workshops would run from 18th to 21st October 2022 adding that they would invite the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS)to simplify the regulations regarding the importation of goods into the country.

“Some of the women have challenges with some documents when importing their goods into the country especially from Mozambique so in this workshop we will invite the ERS to simplify the regulations regarding the importation of goods into the country. Some women get delayed at the border due to some missing documents and slow network, we hope this workshop will provide solutions to these problems,” he said.

The workshops will be hosted in all the four regions of the country with about 70 participants per region.

On the 18th October, the workshop will take place at Manzini Liberty Centre, then at Lavumisa Full Gospel Church on the 19th and Madlangemphisi Nazarene Church on the 20th October.

The workshops will end on the 21st October at Siteki Manicipality Hall.
