Alleged rapist lawyer Martin ‘Internesh’ Dlamini to remain behind bars, urgent bail application dismissed.

MBABANE: Martin ‘Internesh’ Dlamini, the alleged rapist lawyer who stands accused of raping his own daughters will remain behind bars, his urgent bail application was dismissed by High Court Judge Zonke Magagula on Friday.

Women rights groups that include the Swaziland Action Group Against Abuse(SWAGAA)and the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) Women’s League protested outside the High Court two weeks ago, expressing their position on the matter, they wanted the court to deny the suspect bail.

Reached for comments,Sakhile Dlamini, SWAGAA Communications and Advocacy Officer said as an organization, they were very happy with the court’s judgement.

“We are happy with the judgement, we want him to stay behind bars and wait for his trail. Two weeks ago, we were at the High Court protesting and we are happy that our wish has been granted,” said the SWAGAA Spokesperson.
