EKUPHELENI CHIEF CONFIRMS: Armed thugs invade homes,grab over 50 cattle worth R1million.

EKUPHELENI: Chief Ndlovula,the traditional leader of Ekupheleni has confirmed that armed thugs invaded his Chiefdom and grabbed cattle from residents.

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Friday, the Chief said he was concerned about the situation as residents were being robbed of their wealth.

“We are facing a serious challenge of cattle theft here, it’s true that recently armed men invaded homes, grabbed cattle and crossed to South Africa. Please assist us and raise an alarm, we don’t know what to do now. A questionnaire was sent to Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Sithembile Dlamini, a resident of Ekupheleni appealed for help after armed thugs invaded homes on Tuesday and grabbed over fifty(50) cattle worth R 1 million.

Speaking to this Swaziland News, Dlamini said they reported the matter to the police but the law enforcement agency was reluctant to assist them.

“The armed thugs took ten(10) of my cattle worth R200,000.00.They went on to invade other homes that include ka-Gama, kaNgcamphalala,kaMthunzi, ka-Fakudze, kaBabe Makhinane Dlamini eMagomini.Batsetse tinkhomo leti-worth R1million, mine batsetse tami leti-worth R200,000.00, kaMakhelwane batsetse fifteen(15) ema-Blamani, tinkhomo tetfu,” said the resident.
