MBABANE: Prince Simelane, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development has appointed Chief Roads Engineer Vincent Buhle Dlamini as a member of the Town Planning Board, Government online platforms reported on Monday.
According to the report, the role of the Board is to advise the Minister and deal with town planning related issues and applications.
This include processing rezoning applications and town planning scheme approvals for the various towns.
Addressing journalists in Mbabane on Monday, the Minister said he was pleased to announce a new Town Planning Board that will assist the Minister and entire Ministry on all Town Planning issues.
“The Board will be in office for a period not exceeding three years as per the Town Planning Act.The committee consists of exceptional individuals in their different fields and we are confident that they will do a tremendous job during their tenure. We believe in these individuals and we wish them well as they go about their duties,” said the Minister as quoted by Government online platforms.
The Board will be chaired by Principal Secretary Clifford Mamba and its Members are Vincent Dlamini, Gciniwe Fakudze,Dr Samuel Seyama and Dr Bongiwe Malinga.
