MP TIMOTHY MYENI: Reduce our R49,000.00 salary and increase salaries for civil servants.

LOBAMBA: Timothy Myeni, the Nkilongo Member of Parliament(MP) has urged Public Service Minister Mabulala Maseko to consider reducing their salaries as MPs and increase wages for civil servants including members of the security forces.

Addressing the Minister inside Parliament on Wednesday during the debate of the Public Service Ministry, the MP questioned the Minister as to why security officers were awarded only four(4) percent as an increment.

“These civil servants are struggling with no money, the cost of living is high.Give them the money, as MPs we are being paid R49,000.00 if need be, reduce our salary and give the money to the civil servants,” said the MP.
