SACP to protest against King Mswati at MisuZulu’s Coronation.

DURBAN:Bheki Mbatha,the South African Communist Party(SACP)Kwazulu Natal Provincial Secretary says they plan to protest against King Mswati during King Misuzulu's Coronation on Saturday. 

As qouted by IOL, a South African online publication, the SACP Secretary said South Africa is a democratic country and an autocratic individual such as King Mswati should not be accorded any status.

“We have always and will continue to demonstrate our solidarity with the people of Swaziland because we believe that they should be enjoying the kind of freedom that we enjoy.For us it is important to conscientise everyone concerned about what our neighbours continue to endure because King Mswati is someone who just does not have respect for his people", said the SACP Kwazulu Natal Provincial Secretary as qouted by IOL.

Government Spokesperson, Alpheous Nxumalo had not responded at the time of compiling this report. 

Reached for comments, Bonginkhosi ‘IB’ Dlamini, the Convenor of the United Eswatini Diaspora (UED) thanked the SACP for showing that they were in solidarity with the  Swazis.

“The SACP has been in solidarity with us since the times of comrade Joe Slovo. We would like to thank them for this great job they are doing for the ordinary Swazis", he said. 

King Mswati is amongst the high profile dignitaries that will be attending the Zulu Monarch, King Misuzulu’s Coronation at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday.The SACP  will be protesting against King Mswati in order to intensify the calls for democratic reforms in Eswatini.
