University students to protest in support of persecuted SNAT President Mbongwa Mbongwa.

MBABANE: Colani Maseko, the President of the Swaziland National Union of Students(SNUS) has urged University students to participate in a protest in support of persecuted SNAT President Mbongwa Dlamini.

SNAT stands for the Swaziland National Association of Teachers, it’s President is being persecuted by Mswati’s Government merely for representing teachers.

Dlamini’s salary has been stopped by Government, he stands of accused of absenteeism.

SNAT has organized a march to the Ministry of Education on Monday in defense of the teachers Union President.

“We, as the SNUS, declare our full support for the march to the Ministry of Education and Training in defense of President Mbongwa Dlamini and the SNAT. Our support will not only be in rhetoric, but it will also be in practice. It is for that reason that we command all our forces to descend in Mbabane tomorrow (October 31, 2022) and convene at the Ministry of Education and Training by 9 am.We also call on the International Labour Organization (ILO) to take a swift action against the Eswatini Government *that continues to target,”reads a statement released by the Students Union President.
