JUNIOR POLICE OFFICERS: We must arm ourselves with guns or sagila like PUDEMO President Mlungisi Makhanya

MBABANE: An aggrieved junior police officer has suggested that when they invade homes of senior police officers and Cabinet Ministers, they must arm themselves with guns or sagila like Mlungisi Makhanya, the President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO).

Tension is escalating within the police service, police officers are demanding a salary increment under Phase Two(2).

Speaking in a WhatsApp group for junior officers, the officer urged his colleagues to put more pressure and go as far as arming themselves when visiting or invading the homes of the high profile people.

“We must arm ourselves with guns or even with sagila like Mlungisi of PUDEMO just to show that we are serious, we want our money,” said the junior police officer.

Police Spokesperson Superintendent Phindile Vilakati had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Reached for comments, PUDEMO President Mlungisi Makhanya said as an organization, they were happy that the police have realized that Tinkhundla was a violent system of governance.

“Security forces must use every available tool in their disposal to speed-up the process of liberation. When I carried that knobkerrie, it  was an indication that it was time for us to defend ourselves,” said the PUDEMO President.
