SIDVOKODVO: “Warder Mbongseni ‘Mthayi’ Dlamini was killed for disturbing our high profile target and mentioning the name of King Mswati”.
These were the sentiments of the female Commander of the Underground Forces unit renamed Sikhatsi Senkhululeko yeMaSwati(SSS).
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Friday, the Commander said her forces were angry after surveying the target only to be told by Dlamini that the high profile person could not be seen easily because he worked with the King.
“We arrived there like normal citizens and asked few questions about our high profile target, the warder wasn’t aware that we were underground forces. Tsine iNkhosi lesiyatiko iseZulwini, angasitjeli ngeNkhosi yekutjeka(meaning: He spoke with arrogance and asked why we wanted to see him as the person worked with the King. The forces were very angry with the arrogance and the fact that he mentioned King Mswati. We know only one King who is in Heaven,”said the Commander.
The name of the high profile person who is wanted by the SSS is known to this publication, however, his name cannot be revealed as the Commander shared the details with this journalist in confidence.
A questionnaire was sent to Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
Police arrived at the scene on Friday where Dlamini was killed on Thursday evening to collect his body.
Warders found themselves in trouble with the Underground Forces after the Rapid Response Unit led by Senior Superintendent Robert Gama assaulted incarcerated pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube.
Kwaluseni MP Mabhanisi Dlamini who falsely testified against the MPs was attacked on Thursday evening allegedly, by another unit of the underground forces known as the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF).
