KADUMAKO: A police officer who disturbed an operation at kaDumako Police Post in the Shiselweni Region was,on Friday evening, killed by members of the Solidarity Forces in a dramatic shootout.
Reached for comments, the Commander of the Solidarity Forces confirmed the operation that was conducted around 12midnight.
“It’s true that we invaded kaDumako Police Post,a police officer was killed,” said the Commander.
A questionnaire was sent to Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
But a member of the Solidarity Forces confirmed the killing adding that the officer stood in their way during an operation.
“The officer stood in our way during an operation and was subsequently killed,” said the member of the Solidarity Forces when speaking to this publication on Friday evening.
The name of the deceased officer cannot be revealed for now as efforts were being made to contact his family.
