PRO-DEMOCRACY MPS CASE TO CONTINUE ON WEDNESDAY: MP Simosakhe appeals for more public support.

MBABANE: Simosakhe Shongwe, the Mtsambama Member of Parliament (MP)has appealed to emaSwati to continue supporting the incarcerated pro-democracy MPs despite the acts of violence from State agents. 

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Tuesday, the Mtsambama MP  condemned Government for lying to the international community that eSwatini was peaceful yet armed security forces were being unleashed on the citizens .

“Today, MP Mthandeni took the stand and testified very well. There's hope that the MPs will be released soon, it is regrettable that the State continues to unleash its forces on unarmed civilians and further goes on to lie to the world that the country is peaceful.We would like to appeal to emaSwati to continue with their support for the incarcerated MPs despite the brutality they are facing from the State security forces,” said the MP 

The politically motivated case for MPs Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube adjourned on Tuesday 15th November 2022 and will resume on Wednesday 16th November 2022, the MPs were arrested for calling for democratic reforms.

Heavily armed police officers and army personnel shot and injured protestors on Tuesday who were marching to the High Court, in support the incarcerated MPs.
