OVER R10MILLION LOSS:Solidarity Forces burn Rocklands forests, truck after the company forced employees to work on Tuesday.

PIGG’S PEAK: Pigg’s Peak Rocklands suffered over R10million loss after its forests, truck were burnt,allegedly by members of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF).

The incident occurred in the early hours on Wednesday and the company was punished for harassing and forcing its employees to report for duty on Tuesday despite an order from political leaders and the SISF Commander to halt all operations.

Members of the public participated in a protest on Tuesday, demanding democracy and the release of incarcerated pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube.

The protest is expected to intensify on Wednesday after public transport workers resolved to down tools,demanding the release of their colleagues who were abducted by King Mswati’s forces.

A questionnaire was sent to Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Reached for comments,the Commander of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF) said all companies who harassed employees by forcing them to work during days declared as “stay home” by political leaders would be taught a lesson.

“All companies that harass workers by forcing them to work during the days declared by our leaders to be 'stay home’ will be dealt with and punished. There are a number of arrogant companies on our list, those companies will be taught valuable lessons. Watch the space Mr. Editor,” said the Commander of the Solidarity Forces when speaking to this Swaziland News on Wednesday.

Eswatini is in the midst of a political unrest after King Mswati unleashed his soldiers and the police to shoot and kill dozens of civilians, merely for demanding democratic reforms.
