KUKHANYENI: Residents of Kukhanyeni insulted soldiers who arrived at the scene after the burning of senior police officer Oscar Motsa’s home at eKukhanyeni on Thursday evening.
The soldiers were heard expressing concerns that the Solidarity Forces were now enjoying the support of the people.
“Inkinga labantfu sebane-support yalesive, ungakhandza kutsi bakhona lamakhaya abo, nyalo sekufuneka ema-drones(meaning: the problem here is that these Solidarity Forces now enjoy the support of the public, you may find that they are hiding here within their homes,” said one of the soldiers who were at the scene.
A questionnaire was sent to Superintendent Phindile Vilakati,however, she had not not responded at the time of compiling this report.
This Swaziland News reported earlier on Friday that members of the Solidarity Forces invaded and burnt the home of top cop Oscar Motsa, car found at the premises were also set alight.
Eswatini is in the midst of a political unrest after the King unleashed his soldiers and the police to shoot and kill dozens of civilians, merely for demanding democracy.
