MBABANE: The National Marketing and Agricultural Board(NAMBOARD) has signed signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that marks the official launch of a Horticulture Enterprise Credit Guarantee Scheme.
According to eSwatini Government online platforms, this is a Revolving Fund facility aimed at providing affordable financial services to Horticulture farmers inorder to improve local production of fresh produce.
“The Fund seeks to address challenges of access to affordable finance, insurance and collateral for smallholder farmers, and farmers will not be required to pay a deposit to access credit. Farmers can borrow up to E100 000, payable within 36 months. Forms are available at Eswatini Bank,” reads a Government online report published this week.
