MBABANE: Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini is expected to meet new Chinese Ambassador to South Africa Chen Xiaodong.

The editor held a meeting with the then Chinese Ambassador Lian Songtian in February 2020 where issues surrounding diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of eSwatini and the People’s Republic of China(PRC)were discussed at length, the Ambassador was later interviewed by the editor.

Dlamini confirmed that he was in touch with the officials from the Embassy and arrangements were being made to set-up an appointment with the new Ambassador.

“This meeting is very important because China might invade Taiwan anytime. So as a journalist, it’s important to understand the future of eSwatini diplomatically after that invasion if it eventually takes place. The officials in the Embassy have assured me that this meeting is equally important,” said the editor.
