MBABANE:Muzi Nhleko, the National Organizer of the Eswatini Kombi,Buses and Allied Workers Union(EKABAU) has come out to clarify that as a union, they never opposed the proposed national shutdown that seeks to demand democracy and the release of incarcerated pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube.
In an electronic media statement sent to this Swaziland News on Wednesday afternoon,Nhleko confirmed that there were few marshals who were opposed to the shutdown not the union.
”We were attempting to state that transport would be available on Tuesday so that all Swazis who wish to attend the High Court to support the imprisoned MPs could do so.If the MPs are not released on Tuesday, the country will be shutdown for an extended period of time,”said the EKABAU National Organizer.
