MBABANE: Senator Themba Masuku, the Deputy Prime Minister says there would be no national shutdown adding that public transport would be available on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Addressing journalists during a press conference on Monday afternoon, the DPM cited a court order stopping what he described as an illegal strike by public transport workers.

“In light of this order, Government expects public transport employees to be at work and transport operators to be on the road tomorrow, servicing people. Any action that is contrary to this order therefore amounts to Contempt of Court and Government is obliged to take the necessary action.Let me inform the Nation that Government met with transport operators and agreed that public transport will be available as usual,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
